PTA Meetings

All meetings are held in the Crismon Elementary School Media Center, unless otherwise noted. Please note that the meetings are scheduled at varying times.

Both members and non-members are welcome to attend all meetings, but only members are eligible to vote. Click on the meeting date to see the posted agenda (if available). Meeting minutes are not available on this site at this time. If you are interested in obtaining meeting minutes, please contact the PTA Secretary.

Norms for Conducting Business

• Participants should arrive on time for the business meeting. The business meeting will begin promptly at the stated time and end promptly at the stated time. There is a well-defined agenda, with timelines, that is agreed upon by the Board. Discussion of issues is focused and limited by a time line. Stay on task.

• Personal needs are considered part of the agenda with scheduled breaks, if necessary.

• Reports are completed and copies are made ahead of time. If possible, needed information and motions are received in advance.

• Robert's Rules of Orders will be followed.

• Both voting and consensus are used for decision-making.

• Everyone is treated as an equal, with open and honest communication.

• All members can express their viewpoints.

• Operate in an atmosphere of mutual confidence, respect and courtesy.

• Members should come prepared and should read the background materials ahead of time.

• Participants should pay full attention to the items being discussed. Side discussions are disruptive and rude - everyone needs to focus on what is being said and done.
