There are a wide variety of ways to support Crismon Elementary School. The
ideas listed here are just a sampling of the possibilities.
General
support of the efforts of the school and its PTA
• Join the PTA
• Read the papers your child brings home from school
• Read with your child and supervise homework
Volunteering
• Join (or chair) a PTA Committee
• Find a need for your talents
• Contact your child's teacher about volunteering in the classroom
Financial support
• Support the Crismon PTA fundraisers
• Contribute up to $250 to Crismon Elementary and receive a tax credit for your contribution (specific tax laws apply -- contact your tax advisor for details)
• Corporate donations (including matching grants for employee donations -- check with your employer before donating to see if they have a program)
• Support the local merchants that support the Crismon PTA program through its fundraisers
Political support
• Make informed voting decisions on issues that affect education
• Join the Legislative Liaison Committee or the Mesa Public School Board Liaison Committee -- attend meetings or gather information
